It all began with a childhood story called “The Meeting of the Bee and the Chamomile”, written by Alice Adams for a children’s television program. Although the story was never sent in by her parents and eventually forgotten, it left a quiet mark on her creative soul.
Years later, in 2023, while studying Music Performance & Production at Weston College in the UK, Alice rediscovered the idea and reimagined it—this time as an animated story. She even composed the first music track for it during her studies. The plot featured a small bee living a peaceful life until her hive was suddenly attacked by a big, angry bear. Despite the promising start, the animation project was never completed due to a lack of funding.
But the idea refused to fade.
In 2024, Alice transformed that original spark into a full children’s book titled Brave Bee Berry. This heartwarming tale follows Berry, a small bee with a big heart, who learns to believe in herself and leads her friends in protecting their hive. The story gently teaches young readers about courage, teamwork, and self-confidence in an engaging and accessible way.
The book became a collaborative effort between Alice, her editor, and illustrator. The first 30 printed copies were published by the Ukrainian publishing house Master Knyg. Three copies were sent to the Princess of Wales and her children. To Alice’s delight, she received a heartfelt reply from the Princess herself, warmly praising the book.
Brave Bee Berry quickly found its audience—ten copies were sold at a local café on Wick Farm, and the story touched the hearts of children and parents alike.
