Dr. V. Dhivya Keerthiga
Dr. V. Dhivya Keerthiga is an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics at Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science, Coimbatore, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Labour Economics with a specialization in Migration from the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women and completed the prestigious ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2022–2024). Her post-doctoral research focused on assessing the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migrant garment workers in India.
Her academic expertise encompasses labour economics, migration studies, sustainable development, tribal livelihoods, gender economics, entrepreneurship, public policy, and the application of artificial intelligence in economic research. Through her interdisciplinary approach, she examines contemporary economic and social issues with a strong emphasis on inclusive and sustainable development.
Dr. Keerthiga has published numerous research articles, book chapters, and case studies in reputed Scopus-indexed and UGC CARE-listed journals. Her research contributions span labour migration, remittances, climate-induced migration, women's empowerment, tribal development, sustainable business practices, digital transformation, and consumer behaviour. She has also presented her work at several national and international conferences and regularly contributes to academic seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she mentors students and researchers and serves as a resource person for programmes on research methodology, SPSS, and academic writing. Her academic excellence and commitment to community service have been recognised through several honours, including a Gold Medal in her postgraduate studies, the Tamil Nadu Best NSS Volunteer Award, and participation in the National Service Scheme contingent at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi in 2012.
